ChimneySaver Cold Weather CrownCoat is a flexible, elastomeric crowncoat brushable sealant designed for chimney crown repair and to protect chimney crowns from moisture damage. It forms a durable waterproof membrane that prevents leaks, cracking, and long-term deterioration. This brushable crown repair sealer seals hairline cracks and surface flaws while staying permanently flexible without cracking or chipping. No mixing or bonding agents are needed. Easy to apply with a 3″ or 4″ brush, Cold Weather CrownCoat can be applied at varying thicknesses and dries to a natural finish. No primer required, just apply two coats for lasting protection. It can be custom tinted with standard mortar dye to blend with existing masonry. Ideal for chimney crowns, corbels, parapets, and masonry sills, This sealant is one of the must-have chimney repair products. Ensure the surface is clean and dry, remove loose debris with a stiff brush, and protect nearby areas with drop cloths. Avoid applying below -40°F or if temps drop below 40°F within 24 hours. Each gallon covers approx. 28 sq. ft., depending on thickness. Curing time varies by temperature: about 4 hours above 40°F, up to 24 hours near freezing, and about 4 hours in temps down to -40°F, thanks to Freeze-Cure technology.
