18 gage steel protects the entire head during battle. A rounded top rim is forged, connecting the rounded top and the sides with rivets. The front visor has layers of brass that have been laid to make a cross patter. Oblong holes dot the front to allow airflow. The bottom of the visor and basinet extend past the chin. A soft leatherite liner provides comfort and a superior fit. The liner suspends the helmet when worn and can be adjusted for best fit. It is important for the helmet to be secured with the leatherite strap. This strap is fully adjustable and made of thick, soft leatherite. The exterior of the helmet is coated with oil for preservation. The inside is lacquered black. Fits adults.
